Welcome to my blog! I am beyond thrilled that you have chosen to let me share my kitchen life with you. I must confess that I am equal parts excited and snervous about embarking on this journey. For me, this kind of feels like a long time coming, but there are just so many AMAZING blogs out there that it is easy to remain too intimidated to take the plunge. Lucky for me, I had a little bit of a push because I (Confession#2) started this for a class -I’M SORRY please stay. I have plans, people! This is my domain and I bought props, so I’m pretty invested.

What is Katie’s Kitchen Confessional? It’s a food blog, but I want to keep it real with y’all. I feel like “confessional” really brings a laid back element to the blog from the start, which is what I want you to feel every time you visit my page. I love those #PintrestGoals food blogs as well as the next, but frankly I am over it. I’m messy y’all. I want to give you my recipe, but I am not going to sugar coat (ha) the process I went through to get the outcome. I want to talk about why I wanted to make that cake. I want to tell you about how I still find cocoa powder in weird places after dumping an entire container all over my pantry over a year ago. I want to have a conversation with you. I want you to have a conversation with me. Things around here are about to get a whole lot sweeter.
